This one-year on-line (30 week) Certificate provides students with the theory behind welding techniques. This program is designed to be used as the related technical theory for an apprenticeship program. This program is credit generating; therefore, Associates degrees of programs related to the discipline may be inclined to consider completion of these courses for transfer. Upon completion, students can continue to pursue a degree in TES.AAS.This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge of welding processes to fabricate, repair and maintain manufactured weldments, industrial machinery and equipment and motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery as a maintenance technician.
These technicians are involved in all phases of commercial and industrial repair and installation. Students will receive training in industrial electronics, solid state and digital fundamentals, programmable logic control and communications.Students are also introduced to the theories and principles of the operation of electrical equipment, machines; and the installation and maintenance of motors, transformers, industrial controls, programmable logic controllers, and variable speed drives. Students are involved in in-depth study of the National Electrical Code and preparation for credentialing testing. Students are required to participate in third party credentialing such as CET and third party assessments such as NOCTI prior to completion of this curriculum. Instrumentation and Process Control Option:The Instrumentation and Process Control option prepares individuals to apply electronics and technical skills in the fields of industrial control systems, automated systems, process controls, embedded microcontrollers, and data acquisition systems. This option prepares individuals with knowledge and skills in the areas of AC/DC electronics, digital and analog circuits, use of electronic test equipment, use of computers for analysis and problem solving, reading electrical schematics and system diagrams, process and instrument diagrams, scientific methods, and problem solving skills.Robotics and Automation Option:The Robotics and Automation option prepares individuals for the manufacturing environment. As production systems become more streamlined, the equipment that is used becomes more complex. Today's manufacturer is looking for technicians who can troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and program manufacturing equipment. The Robotics and Automation option provides training for these technicians.Robotics and Automated Controls - Short CertificateThis short-term certificate is designed to provide skills in robotics, PLC's, and automated assembly systems. Students who earn this certificate will have in-depth knowledge of FANUC robotics, Alan Bradley PLC's , and the integration of both through an automated work cell. They will also gain the skills needed to repair computer hardware and set up computer networks. Students will have the knowledge required to work as technicians in manufacturing facilites that use robotics and extensive automation. This certificate program is subject to Title IV clock to credit hour conversion.

These are traits that often characterize electronics engineering technology students.Additionally, successful electronics engineering technology students tend to be science oriented and focused on attaining their educational goals. They enjoy the hands-on projects incorporated in the CCCC Electronics Engineering Technology Program.Many employment fields are open to electronics graduates including avionics, telecommunications, medical electronics, and automated systems. Many graduates find employment as service technicians working on computer-controlled equipment.Instruction at CCCC includes numerous lab projects that can be undertaken individually or in teams. Students use their knowledge of microprocessors, digital controllers, and computers to design and build projects.CCCC's electronic laboratories are modern computer-based facilities interfaced with state-of-the-art test equipment. They support a broad-based core of classes in basic electricity and digital concepts. The instructional program places emphasis on developing the student's ability to think, analyze, and troubleshoot. Written communication skills also play an important role in the curriculum.

Students will learn to program Programable Logic Controllers (PLC's), communicate between PLC's and robots, set up HMI's (human machine interface) to control and monitor the process, and even explore new advancements in Smart Factory environments such as machine learning and AI.
This program is designed to introduce students to the field’s central concept of how mechanics, electronics, and computers are integrated using automated hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
The Aerospace Manufacturing Technology programs include sequences of courses designed to produce an aerospace technician with multiple skill sets and a well-rounded understanding of the aerospace industry.
The Refrigeration Technologies (RT) program contains seven (7) courses. The objectiveof the RT program is to train and prepare students for entry as service and maintenancetechnicians in jobs that utilize technologies employed in the fields of air conditioning (bothheating and cooling), and refrigeration. Students completing this program should have anunderstanding of mechanical and electrical principles and will have practical exposure todiagnosing, servicing and repairing common types of problems in related equipment. Uponsuccessful completion of this program, students will receive a Diploma.

The Electrical Technologies (ET) program, available at the Dallas Metro campus only, containsseven (7) phase term courses, 30 weeks, and 28 semester credit hours. The objective of the ETprogram is to train and prepare students for entry-level or trainee positions in the residential,commercial, and industrial electrical industry. Students completing this program shouldhave an understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, residential and commercialwiring applications, voice, video, and data cabling systems, the application of motors,lighting, and devices that control them as well as exposure to various types of transformers.Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Diploma.
