Job Corps’ Painting, Pre-Apprentice training program teaches students the skills like how to apply paint, stain and coatings to walls and ceilings, buildings, bridges or other items such as cars, jewelry and ceramics, use machinery to apply the paints or use scaffolding and raise ladders, fill holes and cracks with plaster and putty, and utilize simple math to calculate dimensions. This program specifically prepares students for a Registered Apprenticeship after graduation. Students who complete the Painting, Pre-Apprentice training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from organizations such as the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and certifications in construction safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Job Corps’ Electrical training program teaches students the skills needed to work with electrical systems in homes, businesses and factories, including how to install, maintain and repair electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems in places of all sizes, read blueprints and diagrams and will need to follow state and local building regulations, and use various hand tools and power tools. These skills prepare students for jobs as electricians across industries, including in the construction, manufacturing or engineering industries. Students who complete the Electrical training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and certifications in construction health and safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
This certificate offers course work designed to prepare the student for engineering transfer. Upon completion of the certificate the student can select a pathway in either civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering transfer to a four-year college or university.

In fact, it remains one of Ohio's most important economic activities, and it offers excellent job opportunities for skilled machine operators, programmers and technicians. Computer Aided Machining (CAM) is an important part of the manufacturing process as it facilitates the control of automated machines to product parts.The Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology -Computer Aided Machining program builds on the One-Year Computer Aided Machining Operator certificate. It is designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to setup, program and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines in a manufacturing setting, specifically the Machining and Turning Center. You'll get an excellent background in math and problem solving as well as real-world training with modern equipment.
Demonstrate skill in engineering drawing. Demonstrate proficiency in at least one three-dimensional engineering design software. Prepare reports using software tools.
Build a future in industrial systems technology. If you like high-tech and hands-on, this is the program for you. It's a fact; in the past five years every graduate of Industrial Systems Technology was employed in the field after completing the program.In the industrial systems program you learn how things work. You learn how to find problems, how to fix them and how to keep things running smoothly.Studies include programming, wiring, and circuitry. Hydraulics, electronics and even robots are part of the instruction at CCCC.You train with the same state-of-the-art equipment found in the real-world workplace.
This certificate prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, install, service and maintain the operating condition of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Diagnostic techniques and the use of testing equipment are covered; the principles of mechanics, electricity, and electronics as they relate to the repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems are addressed. The certificate takes two years to complete. Classes may be applied towards the HVAC degree.
The Engineering program is a two-year preparatory curriculum for students who plan to continue their education at a four-year institution and complete their major in an engineering science field.
The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology curriculum provides the basic knowledge to develop skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems.Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls, and safety. The diploma program covers air conditioning, furnaces, heat pumps, tools, and instruments. In addition, the AAS degree covers residential building codes, residential system sizing, and advanced comfort systems.Diploma graduates should be able to assist in the start-up, preventive maintenance, service, repair, and/or installation of residential and light commercial systems. AAS degree graduates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of system selection and balance and advanced systems.
