This class will introduce the participant to Swiss CNC machining: how to produce complex parts, including set-up and operation, while using brass and aluminum metals.Pre-requisite: MEC212 or previous CNC Operation experience

This program prepares a student to become certified as an advanced CADD operator. Coursework includes the creation of 2D and 3D CADD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other modeling software in support of industry trends and technology advancements. In addition, the student would be capable of customizing the CAD software program, with additional skills in solid modeling and other areas of CADD.
The Industrial Production Technology program is designed to prepare students for entry level jobs in paper and chemical process industries.This is a career program designed for students to go directly into the labor market upon completion. Although some of the courses in this program will transfer to four-year institutions, this program is not designed to be a transfer program of study; therefore, it is not subject to the terms and conditions of Alabama Transfers state transfer and articulation reporting system.
The Industrial Technology AAS degree prepares students for job advancement or to transfer to a four-year institution to obtain a bachelor’s degree in technology-dependent fields such as, automotive technology and service, building construction, electronics,heating, ventilating and air conditioning, electrical technology, automated systems maintenance and manufacturing, machine design, and welding to name a few. This program is designed to afford students with the flexibility to tailor their coursework to meet their individual occupational or transfer goals. Students may complete this program at the Harrisburg Campus through a combination of mixed modalities (e.g., on-campus/in-person instruction, hybrid, flex, remote instruction and/or virtual learning)

The Process Operation Technology program prepares graduates for entry-level process and operations positions in manufacturing, chemical, steel manufacturing, power generation, water treatment, refining fuels, and other plant-operation related industries. The program provides instruction designed to develop knowledge in the monitoring and controlling principles used in modern industry as well as the technical skills needed to apply these principles. Graduates earn the Process Operation Technology Associate in Applied Science Degree.

This certificate will prepare students to become machine operators in the machine tool industry. The courses involved in this certificate program can be applied to the CNC diploma or the Associate Degree in Advanced Machine Tool Technology.
The Occupational Safety and Health Construction Safety Technician Certificate was developed due to the need for trained health and safety professionals in the construction industry. This certificate is designed for individuals with current or past experience in the construction industry who are interested in taking on an expanded role focusing on construction safety. This certificate requires successful completion of a minimum of 56-59 credits as outlined.
An Occupational Skills Award (OSA) is the most basic sequence of courses that will prepare students for employment. Students are not able to declare an OSA as a major, or pursue one as an end goal. However, almost all OSAs are built into other certificates and/or majors, and they will be automatically awarded to students as they complete coursework in those certificates and/or majors.
