Job Corps’ Painting, Pre-Apprentice training program teaches students the skills like how to apply paint, stain and coatings to walls and ceilings, buildings, bridges or other items such as cars, jewelry and ceramics, use machinery to apply the paints or use scaffolding and raise ladders, fill holes and cracks with plaster and putty, and utilize simple math to calculate dimensions. This program specifically prepares students for a Registered Apprenticeship after graduation. Students who complete the Painting, Pre-Apprentice training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from organizations such as the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and certifications in construction safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

C12 is designed for contractor personnel seeking certification or anyone looking to learn about the proper application of airless and conventional spray coatings. It covers equipment operation, coating mixing, spray techniques, and troubleshooting. It’s also well-suited for those working in industrial and marine environments where accurate coating application is essential to achieving specification and performance requirements.

This certificate will provide students the opportunity to develop high-level drafting skills utilizing computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create technical drawings, sketches, designs, and notes from mechanical engineers and factory operators that meet the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and International Standards Institute (ISO) standards. Students will learn about the materials and techniques necessary to design and produce prototypes using additive manufacturing and become certified in industry standard software, including AutoCAD and Solidworks.

This 990-hour program teaches CNC machine programming and operation while introducing robotic integration, an emerging field transforming modern production. You’ll learn to read blueprints, perform quality checks, set up multi-axis CNC machines, and work with robotic arms, building skills for careers in high-tech manufacturing.

The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) program is a cooperative effort between the WSU Tech and National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). The associate degree program is a sequence of courses designed to produce a technician who understands NDT's role in the aerospace industry, has mastered the American Society for Nondestructive Testing's coursework for Levels I and II certification and has the depth and breadth of knowledge which comes from general education courses.

This program is designed to build skills in advanced manufacturing. Students learn the operation and programming basics of CNC equipment commonly used in manufacturing operations, including operating manual mills and lathes and other related CNC operator processes.

Computer Aided Machining (CAM) is an important part of the manufacturing process as it facilitates the control of automated machines to product parts.The Computer Aided Machining (CAM)/Manufacturing Processes Short-Term Certificate program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for entry-level employment in the manufacturing processes or computer numerical control (CNC) field. You'll get an excellent background in math and problem solving as well as real-world training with modern equipment.You may choose to continue your education by applying the credits earned in this program to the Computer Aided Machining Operator One-Year Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology -Computer Aided Machining.

Print Reading for Today is intended for all personnel who need to understand the meaning of drawings / prints. Emphasis is placed on understanding multi-view relationships, symbology and conventional dimensioning and tolerancing methods. Numerous exercises involving the reading of prints will be utilized throughout. Participants are encouraged to bring their own prints for discussion.
