The Mechatronics Basic Industrial Electricity Level 1 Certificate program is designed to give a student the basic skills required of industrial machine service personnel. All credits earned for this certificate apply to the Electrical Controls Engineering Technology, A.A.A.S degree.
Job Corps’ Welding training program teaches students skills like joining metals using a variety of techniques and processes, understanding and following safety procedures including properly using safety equipment, and identifying and explaining the composition and classification of metals, and designing and building a fixture for assembling simple parts. These skills prepare students for a career working in a variety of jobs for manufacturing companies, construction companies, trade shops, shipbuilders or repair shops. Students should also consider pursuing Advanced Manufacturing Production Technician, Advanced Machinist and other Advanced Training programs at Job Corps as a part of their career pathway. Students who complete Welding training at Job Corps can earn nationally recognized credentials from the American Welding Society (AWS) and the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS).

This certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in the machinist operations career field. This program teaches the fundamental skills needed to operate and set up printers through classroom theory and hands-on laboratory instruction.

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing with a concentration in Industrial Maintenance/Electrical will prepare graduates for employment as entry-level industrial electricians. Concepts covered in the concentration include basic electrical concepts, motor controls, programmable logic controllers and basic instrumentation principles.

Engineering Graphics encompasses many divergent fields of study, including Aerospace, Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, Structural, and Technical Illustrating. All of these fields focus on the ability to communicate by using a graphic language. Graphic communication is the ability to translate ideas and rough sketches into finished drawings that can be used to manufacture or assemble the desired product. These drawings are produced with the aid of specialty drawing and measuring instruments and the use of special computer programs. Students in this program learn basic drafting techniques as well as advanced topics within the fields of Architectural Design, Mechanical Design, and 3-D Design. Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) is an essential part of this program and is explored in depth.Students who complete the prescribed program certificate curriculum will earn a certificate in Engineering Graphics. Admission is conditional and depends on the student's ability to perform the essential functions for this program. Reasonable accommodations are considered.

This one-year online (30 week) Certificate provides students with specialized technical knowledge in industrial maintenance. This program is designed as a pathway to obtain an Apprentice status when sponsored by a New Jersey based company. This program is credit generating; therefore, Associates degrees of programs related to the discipline may be inclined to consider completion of these courses for transfer. Upon completion, students can continue to pursue a degree in CIM.AAS or TES.AAS.This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair and maintain industrial machinery and equipment such as cranes, pumps, engines and motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery as a maintenance technician.
