The Welding Technology curriculum provides students with a sound understanding of the science, technology, and applications essential for successful employment in the welding and metalworking industry.Instruction includes consumable and non-consumable electrode welding and cutting processes. Courses may include math, print reading, metallurgy, welding inspection, and destructive and non-destructive testing providing the student with industry-standard skills developed through classroom training and practical application.Graduates of the Welding Technology curriculum may be employed as entry-level technicians in the welding and metalworking industries. Career opportunities also exist in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, sales, quality control, supervision, and welding-related self-employment.

This Course will cover 3D Solids creation from 2D wireframe geometry, 2D High Speed Dynamic toolpaths and its uses, Basic plane creation and manipulation. The Industrial Pipefitter program prepares students for entry-level careers in industrial pipe fabrication and installation. Students receive training in screw pipe, socket weld, butt weld, and mechanical joint piping systems while developing hands-on skills used in industrial settings. The program emphasizes the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core and Industrial Pipefitter curriculum to support industry-standard training and workforce readiness.
The Associate in Applied Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing with a concentration in Welding will prepare graduates for employment as an entry-level welder.
The Electronics Technology curriculum provides upgrading of skills for those presently in the electronics and computer related fields or provides basic skills for those who want to enter these fields. The certificate is based on the skills required of an electronics technician including soldering, application of electronic measuring equipment (e.g., oscilloscope and multimeter), electronic circuit simulation software, DC/AC circuit principles, computer aided design software, analog devices, and digital devices. In addition, the students will learn basic troubleshooting skills applied to electronic systems. Students are encouraged to pursue Certified Electronics Technician certification upon completion of this program. High school graduate reading and writing skills are expected, as development of technical reports and use of technical manuals are required in these courses. Math skills should include practical knowledge of algebra, basic trigonometry and geometry.Credits earned may be applied toward the Electrical Engineering Technology (A.A.S.) degree.Courses in each level (Foundation and Core) must be completed prior to advancing to the next level. Where more than one course is offered within a level, courses may be taken in any sequence.
The Certificate of Completion in robotics operator prepares the student with basic foundation skills toward earning a degree in automation technology. Students are also able to earn a FANUC Robotics CERT Handling Tool Operations and Programming level 1 certification. This credits earned in this program can be applied toward an Associate of Applied Science in Automation Engineering Technologies with a major in Systems Specialist or Maintenance/Repair.
The Mechatronics Engineering Technology Associate in Applied Science degree is for those students looking to work within industrial maintenance, the field of automation and with robotics and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls). Students will study mechanical skills necessary for repairing, installing and modifying industrial mechatronic systems and practice these skills in the hands on labs for PLCs, robotics, mechanisms and automation. Mechatronic skills are desired by manufacturers for roles in automating and maintaining production systems. Companies are looking for employees with these skills in the automated warehouse, automotive assembly and various automated manufacturing industries. Industrial Maintenance technicians are needed in every manufacturing production facility to maintain, repair and install the equipment utilized in the production processes manufacturing companies utilize. In addition to careers in industry, students are able to continue their studies in Bachelor's degree programs if desired.
The 3D Graphics Technician Short Term Certificate (STC) Program introduces concepts related to three dimensional (3D) graphics and teaches creative and technical skills required to produce 3D graphics, 3D prints, environmental renderings that range from artistic to photorealistic in quality, and 3D models used in multimedia and animation. A combination of traditional design skills and digital design techniques are taught, along with the representation of concepts of time, motion, and lighting principles. This certificate option prepares students for entry-level positions as 3D graphics Technicians.
Job Corps’ Electrical, Pre-Apprentice training program teaches students the skills needed to work with electrical systems in homes, businesses and factories, including how to install, maintain and repair electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems in places of all sizes, read blueprints and diagrams and will need to follow state and local building regulations, and use various hand tools and power tools. This program specifically prepares students for a Registered Apprenticeship after graduation. Students who complete the Electrical, Pre-Apprentice training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and certifications in construction health and safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
