Formerly known as Electromechanical Systems, the Industrial Automation and Machine Maintenance program provides the solid foundational knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the mechanical and automated manufacturing environment.
The Electrician: Industrial certificate program prepares you for employment as an industrial maintenance electrician. Emphasis is placed on electrical/electronic theory and industrial electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, motor control systems, drive systems and programmable controllers. Special emphasis is placed on developing troubleshooting skills.
This certificate is designed for students with little or no drafting experience who want to move into architectural graphics. The certificate includes learning computer applications, exploration of construction methods, knowledge of construction materials and a study of architectural history.
A well-rounded curriculum allows students hands-on experience in all the stages of the aircrafts life from design to production and repair. Coursework in the program includes CATIA, composite fabrication, composite repair and lean manufacturing.

Fast Track is recommended primarily for experienced incumbent workers or dislocated workers with manufacturing experience with limited time available for study.
The Welding Operator One-Year Certificate program is designed to provide you with the specialized knowledge and skills to be prepared for entry-level employment as a welding technician. As a welding technician, you'll inspect welded joints to ensure company standards, national code requirements and customer job specifications are met. You'll also assist welding engineering personnel in development and application of new and improved welding equipment, welding techniques, procedures and practices, and specifications for heat treating.An emphasis is placed on computer-aided manufacturing and automated welding systems. In addition, you'll learn about new techniques that are being developed to weld dissimilar materials and non-metallic materials such as plastics and composites including laser beam and electron beam welding, new fluxes and other technologically advanced processes.You may choose to continue your education by applying the credits earned in this program to an Associate of Applied Science in Welding Technology.
This program prepares students for careers in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Typical technical titles include manufacturing and process technician, maintenance and installation/facility support technician and quality control and metrology technician. Individuals working in this industry require a solid foundation in mathematics and physical sciences as well as technical knowledge and good problem solving and teamwork skills.
This certificate includes SolidWorks, CATIA V5, GD&T and Mastercam or CAMWorks, to enhance the student's abilities in order to expand their employment opportunities in engineering and manufacturing, including the automotive and aerospace sectors.This certificate allows technicians in engineering and manufacturing to add new knowledge and skills in order to bridge the gap between 3D CAD design and the fabrication of products in the digital manufacturing environment, including subtractive and additive manufacturing, 3D printing, 3D laser scanning, reverse engineering, CNC programming and metrology/CMM processes.
Earning this certificate will provide you with the knowledge required to enter the workforce in an entry-level position in Advanced Manufacturing.
The Welding Technology Certificate provides training in the field of industrial welding. This Certificate offers practical training and relevant theory in Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Flux cored Arc Welding, Oxy-fuel Welding and Cutting, Plasma Cutting, as well Welding Inspection.
Welding is an integral part of various world-wide industries including advanced manufacturing, petroleum, aerospace, automation, and the medical field. Students at GRCC learn many different welding processes including oxy/fuel, shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc (TIG), robotic automation, and gas metal arc welding (MIG). With these skills, students are qualified for a wide variety of welding jobs in manufacturing, automation, construction, inspection and maintenance industries. This two-semester Welding Certificate program builds upon the Welding Skills Certificate (902), providing students with enhanced knowledge and skills in welding. All credits earned in this Certificate program may be applied toward the Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences in Welding Technology (932).
This certificate provides foundational course work in the engineering technology curriculum. Upon completion of the certificate students can select a pathway in civil, electronics, or mechanical engineering technology.
