An articulation agreement between The Citadel and TTC allows students to enroll at TTC with the following courses approved for transfer to The Citadel. The purpose of this agreement is to provide courses at TTC equivalent to the lower division requirements of The Citadel's BS in Mechanical Engineering to promote access to and facilitate the transfer of TTC's students into The Citadel's engineering programs.
The Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) User certificate program provides students with the basic training in creating engineering drawing and 3D models of parts. The program uses AutoCAD® and Solidworks® software to provide the students with the basic training they need in the field of computer aided drafting. The program is a steppingstone to seek lower-level mechanical drafting jobs or to continue to obtain Mechanical CAD certificate.
This program provides students with the basic electricity, heating, cooling and air distribution skills you'll need to join the heating and air-conditioning industry with interactive online simulators that get you started in a new career!
Job Corps’ Electrical, Pre-Apprentice training program teaches students the skills needed to work with electrical systems in homes, businesses and factories, including how to install, maintain and repair electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems in places of all sizes, read blueprints and diagrams and will need to follow state and local building regulations, and use various hand tools and power tools. This program specifically prepares students for a Registered Apprenticeship after graduation. Students who complete the Electrical, Pre-Apprentice training program can earn industry-recognized credentials from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and certifications in construction health and safety from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
The Career Studies Certificate in Basic Welding prepares students with no prior welding experience for entry-level jobs in basic welding and fabricating.Program Outcomes: Graduates of this program will:Could earn AWS (American Welding Society) certifications.Demonstrate basic knowledge of welding terms and definitions.Demonstrate basic Metal Arc / MIG / TIG Welding skills.Demonstrate layout and blueprint reading skills.Industry Credentials: A student will have the opportunity to qualify and earn certifications in the following areas AWS - ARC 1g & 3g plate, AWS GMAW, AWS 3g & 4g plate.
The Machine Technology program is designed to help students exit the program with hands-on skill and knowledge recognized by industry partners as the key competencies to succeed in the field of machinist. This is a career program designed for students to go directly into the labor market upon completion. Although some of the courses in this program will transfer to four-year institutions, this program is not designed to be a transfer program of study; therefore, it is not subject to the terms and conditions of Alabama Transfers state transfer and articulation reporting system.
Electronics and Electrical Engineering technicians build, test, service, and repair electronic equipment used in a variety of industries. Topics covered in this program include electronics principles, circuit troubleshooting and design, PLC, motor controls, hydraulics and pneumatics, and industrial automation.
This Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) course covers the fundamental principles and applications of GD&T in engineering and manufacturing. Students will explore key concepts such as symbols, terms, limits of size, and the geometric system, with a focus on the Datum Reference Frame (DRF) and its relationship to design and measurement. Topics include orientation tolerances, virtual condition, material boundary modifiers, form and profile tolerances, position tolerances, and coaxial controls. Through a structured approach, this course provides the foundational knowledge needed to accurately interpret and apply GD&T in real-world scenarios.

In fact, it remains one of Ohio's most important economic activities, and it offers excellent job opportunities for skilled machine operators, programmers and technicians. Computer Aided Machining (CAM) is an important part of the manufacturing process as it facilitates the control of automated machines to product parts.The Computer Aided Machining (CAM)/Manufacturing Processes Short-Term Certificate program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for entry-level employment in the manufacturing processes or computer numerical control (CNC) field. You'll get an excellent background in math and problem solving as well as real-world training with modern equipment.You may choose to continue your education by applying the credits earned in this program to the Computer Aided Machining Operator One-Year Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology -Computer Aided Machining.
This short-term certificate in Basic Plate Welding-GMAW/FCAW/SMAW is designed to prepare individuals with entry-level skills in the field of welding. The program is competency based that includes both theory and hands on practical application based instruction. Instruction is provided in various processes and techniques of welding and cutting different types of materials.This is a career program designed for students to go directly into the labor market upon completion. Although some of the courses in this program will transfer to four-year institutions, this program is not designed to be a transfer program of study; therefore, it is not subject to the terms and conditions of Alabama Transfers state transfer and articulation reporting system.

Job Corps’ Welding training program teaches students skills like joining metals using a variety of techniques and processes, understanding and following safety procedures including properly using safety equipment, and identifying and explaining the composition and classification of metals, and designing and building a fixture for assembling simple parts. These skills prepare students for a career working in a variety of jobs for manufacturing companies, construction companies, trade shops, shipbuilders or repair shops. Students should also consider pursuing Advanced Manufacturing Production Technician, Advanced Machinist and other Advanced Training programs at Job Corps as a part of their career pathway. Students who complete Welding training at Job Corps can earn nationally recognized credentials from the American Welding Society (AWS) and the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
