Students will learn the requirements of becoming an IPC certified electric assembler to work in the field of commercial electronics. After training in each area, a certification test will be offered. Student outcomes will be to be qualified as a soldering specialist, acceptability and inspection in electronic assemblies, requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies, rework, modification and repair of electronic circuit boards. Three certifications from IPC certifying organization will be offered and given to each student.
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees in Industrial Technology are designed to provide a broad base of instruction and industrial knowledge that will prepare the graduate to enter the technical work force upon graduation.

The Semiconductor Cleanroom Maintenance Technician one-year technical certificate is structured to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an entry-level cleanroom maintenance technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Training and education is provided in the fundamental concepts of semiconductor manufacturing, working in a cleanroom, vacuum pump application and maintenance, and introductory skills used in electronic measurement, pneumatics & hydraulics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, OSHA safety, fitness and wellness, and the use of Microsoft Windows, Office, and Teams software, The student will learn and apply principles in actual cleanroom activities while gowned up in a bunny suit. Courses taken within this 1 year certificate are stackable into degrees such as Industrial Mechanical Technician, SMART Automation, and Microelectronic Manufacturing.
The General Technology major allows students to select course work necessary to become multi-skilled technicians. In addition to completing the college's core curriculum, students also complete course work in at least two technical areas. The following is an example of a career path available. The secondary paths may be substituted for courses in other programs' primary path. Interested students should talk with their advisors.Graduates of this career path are employed as automated controls technicians, electrical and instrumentation technicians, or robotics and automation technicians at manufacturing plants, chemical plants, food and beverage plants, water systems, and energy generation facilities. Job duties include installing, maintaining and repairing various types of electro-mechanical automation equipment.Students can earn only one General Technology degree in a single career path.

They enjoy the hands-on projects incorporated in the CCCC Electronics Engineering Technology Program.Many employment fields are open to electronics graduates including avionics, telecommunications, medical electronics, and automated systems. Many graduates find employment as service technicians working on computer-controlled equipment.Instruction at CCCC includes numerous lab projects that can be undertaken individually or in teams. Students use their knowledge of microprocessors, digital controllers, and computers to design and build projects.CCCC's electronic laboratories are modern computer-based facilities interfaced with state-of-the-art test equipment. They support a broad-based core of classes in basic electricity and digital concepts. The instructional program places emphasis on developing the student's ability to think, analyze, and troubleshoot. Written communication skills also play an important role in the curriculum.
The mechatronics technology skills certificate introduces learners to the basic skills needed for employment in today's complex manufacturing environments. These classes all apply to the mechatronics technology certificate and associate degree.
This Advanced Certificate is for those students looking to work within industrial maintenance, the field of automation and with robotics and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls). Students will study mechanical skills necessary for repairing, installing and modifying industrial mechatronic systems and practice these skills in the hands on labs for PLCs, robotics, mechanisms and automation. Mechatronic skills are desired by manufacturers for roles in automating and maintaining production systems. Companies are looking for employees with these skills in the automated warehouse, automotive assembly and various automated manufacturing industries.
Acquire all of the skills offered during CCAT's Digital CNC Operations week. On route to this credential you will complete training focused on applications of computer-aided manufacturing and multi-axis milling machines. Proram Outcomes: 1. Create simple part geometries in CAM software.2. Program and execute facing operations.3. Program and execute contouring operations.4. Program and execute drilling operations.5. Demonstrate foundational skills essential for programming in a job shop environment.6. Gain practical hands-on experience with a 3-axis milling machine, including transferring programs, loading raw materials, validating, and executing operations.7. Describe automated CAM programming using feature and tolerance-based machining strategies and model-based definition workflows.8. Demonstrate the ability to utilize Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) embedded in 3D CAD models to define machining parameters and ensure accurate toolpath generation.
The Welding and Fabrication Technology curriculum provides students training and experience in welding and fabrication as it pertains to assembly, manufacturing, energy, and structural construction. The program provides education and training in common cutting and welding processes; CNC plasma cutting; OXYFUEL, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW processes; structural and pipe and plate welding; blueprint reading; communications; and quantitative problem solving.Upon completion of this program, students will be able toDescribe and demonstrate safe use of each type of welding equipment;Select and demonstrate various joining processes;Estimate type, quantity, cost, and weight of a welded fabrication from blueprint information;Demonstrate proper setup, adjustment, and use of typical cutting and welding equipment;Demonstrate proficiency in OXYFUEL, SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes;Visually inspect and document proper applications of welding processes;Demonstrate techniques and devices for minimizing part distortion during welding;Apply advanced fabrication techniques, including design, layout, fixturing and production welding that are commonly found in fabrication shops; andDevelop and schedule the sequence to complete a fabrication project from start to finish including blueprints, estimating, quality control, and coating requirements.
