About This Program

The Associate of Occupational Science in Trades Leadership with a Specialization in Industrial Maintenance Technology program at Advanced Technology Institute equips students with the practical skills and leadership training needed to launch and grow careers in industrial maintenance. Over 18 months, students gain hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems used in manufacturing, utilities, and other industrial environments.Core instruction covers motors and drives, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), metal repair and fabrication, and fluid control systems. Students also learn to interpret schematics, apply diagnostics, and perform system troubleshooting while adhering to industry safety standards.In addition to core skills training, the program builds leadership and communication capabilities essential for advancement into supervisory roles within the skilled trades.
